Last Saturday I was excited to shoot another wedding with Sergei Belski and it went great! It fell on the Boxing Day that's a huge deal here in Canada - it's like Black Friday in US - but I was actually quite happy to miss all the madness in the stores and spend the day with such an awesome couple. This was the first winter wedding for me, first Vietnamese wedding and the first wedding where the number of people exceeded 400! Los of firsts and I was pumped!! It was awesome! Bic and Kenny's families made us very welcome and it was a pleasure to be around them for the day...a 16 hour wedding day! :) I've learnt a few Vietnamese traditions like 8 is the lucky number and red is the lucky color and got a taste of traditional food - loved the rice with green onions and wish I could taste the soup if I hadn't been allergic to most of the sea food. After the boys got ready we all drove to the magnificent Fairmont Palliser Hotel in downtown Calgary for the wedding ceremony. The reception took place at the Regency Palace in Chinatown Calgary that easily accomodated 400 wedding guests, some of them came all the way from British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
The guys:

First dance:
OMG were these games ever funny! they actually reminded me of russian weddings where the bride and the groom have to play guessing games..lol :)) like in this case Bic had to guess which bum belonged t her man Kenny. do you think she guessed? :)
A kiss after the games were over. :)
Bouquet toss!! Look how excited some guys are!! :)
The winner!!
Kenny digging for garter!

Wow, Sveta, these are so awesome! My most favourite is the one with backlighting, outside, where the couple is standing by the fence, stunning!
