Playing with Silhouettes...

Wowzers it's the last day of February today! And spring starts tomorrow! Yay!! :)) Tim and I were playing with our silhouettes (hope I'm spelling it right! tough word!) today, it was so much fun! Then we went pick up my husband from the University and headed straight to the airport to check out that Space Port where Tim (hopefully!) will have his B-day party. Suprisingly everything was closed though it was only 5 o'clock but that's fine, I'll call them on Monday. Tim had a blast playing at the airport playground and now we're at home enjoying a movie night. So glad it's a weekend! Wishing my wonderful readers a great weekend, too! :)

"Will you marry me?"

I just can't talk enough of my precious little...well...not so little anymore :)...baby. Tim's turning 5 in a couple of weeks and we want to do something special for him. Something like...space travel! Woudln't it be tons of fun?? Sure it would! I'm hoping to book everything by early next week. Yay!
A couple of days ago Tim comes over to me and says: Mommy, will you marry me? I go: What are we going to do when we get married? And he says: We're going to dance and eat candies!
Awww...just want to sqeeze him in those moments! :):)

This is what I call healthy eating!

I was making a salad yesterday and had this huge green pepper that I was about to cut into pieces when I had an idea! :) I poured drinking water into it and gave to Tim as he always loves new stuff especially if it's something like...hmmm..pepper-cup!! :) He drank all the water and then wanted to eat the cup.:) I usually say no...but in this case I was like sure you can eat it, honey! He never eats pepper but now he ate almost half of it! And the other half went into the salad. Well...some healthy eating tips for parents...:)))

I've been sitting here for 5 minutes already trying to find the words to describe this photo session with Kendra and it's hard 'cause it was a totally rocking, awesome and spectacular shoot! Kendra, you are fantastic!! Thanks sooo much for the great time and your cheerful attitude and willing to try everything! Holy it was a blast! :) It was very diffucult to pick a few favourites out of a 100 photos but here they are:

New props for newborn photos...yay!

Ok now I can't wait to try my new props for newborns!!! :)) My Mom made them for me (thanks Mom!!) and I'm sure they'll look so cool in the photos! :)

I went to the gym this morning for BodyPump (GoodLife Fitness rocks btw!) and now I'm getting ready for my afternoon photo shoot (will post photos as soon as they are done!)...Well already it sounds like a dream day to me..haha!

I just keep dreaming....

I want to go to Paris so bad. Been there once and can't wait to go back..:) Architecture, beautiful winding narrow streets with local crafts all over the place, freelance artists...I actually had a humor pencil portrait of me done up for free as I had no money left (it was my last day in Paris) and the guy just insisted he wanted to do a sketch of me.:)) So I ended up getting a portrait of me with this really huge
nose and great smile from one ear to the other.:) It's still in my parents' home. Good times...

Happy Valentine's Day!

My husband and I went out last night for Valentine's Day to see our favourite Calgary band "Curious George". They were fantastic as usual! Tim went for a sleepover to his buddies from the dayhome and had a blast there while Alex and I had so much fun and had a great time at the Richmond Pub...:)

We wanted to wish a Happy Valentine's Day to all of you! Cherish your love and be happy!

The Saga....

Ok so this morning I woke up and found only 1/2 toilet paper roll left! What a disaster! I hate leaving things till the last minute and was mad at myself I didn't check THE SUPPLY when I did my grocery shopping last week. I was like Oh no, I will have to make a whole extra trip to the store just to get toilet paper and will look really weird at the cash register...haha!! :))) Though tim would probably get me to buy him something but that wasn't my plan. :) So can you imagine how happy I felt after I found 2 more rolls stashed in one of the bathroom drawers??! :)) It was like a miracle! lol....:) And I didn't even have to rush to the store..:) Anyway I guess this post was really about how truly little things can make us happy!:))

Boy did I have fun tonight playing with various TRA actions! I downloaded a sample from http://gettotallyrad.com/#download-a-sample-2dc7ae and have been messing with it all night! The storyboard is processed with Bitchin B&W and the photo of Tim's name in Russian is processed with the mix of Boutwell Magic Glasses, Super Fun happy and some added grain. :)) Hope you like 'em! My inspiration.

This morning Tim and I went to Coles and got some workbooks by Kumon (rhyming words, spelling, easy math, telling time, etc)...So the first thing we did when we got home was pick the book he wanted to start with which happened to be Rhyming Words. It was a lot of fun to sit down with Tim and trace the letters and listen to him try and read...Here's a collage from today.

Recharging the batteries...

A little gym, a little snack after, shower and phone conversation with my parents who are still in Russia - can there be a better way to start Saturday?! :))) My son surprised me again when we saw that the pants that we had bought him last week were too small for him! Wow he's growing fast! So funny, too, when we start talking about school and he gets so excited..:)) Hope he keeps this through all the school years (haha!)...Well I'm going back to making some delicious soup with sour kraut, cabbage, carrots and potatos..yum!

Website assignment - Chic Bamboo Wear

Oh wow this was a very cool experience - taking photos for website that sells bamboo clothing! The models and I had a blast and I can't wait to do it again for their spring collection. The clothing is amazing, by the way, check it out at http://www.chicbamboowear.com/ .
