We spent our two days in Vancouver walking in Stanley Park and visiting the famous Capilano Bridge and the most amazing Vancouver Aquarium. We had a great time just chilling at the Kitsilano Beach where we picked shells and admired the beautiful huge ships entering the harbour.
We were staying with Gabriela (my friend and fellow photographer Maros`s mom), she made our stay so enjoyable and we are very thankful to her for that! Thank you so much, Gabriela!! You`re amazing!
Kitsilano Beach:
Capilano Bridge - stunning 70m tall suspension bridge with great paths along the way and they even have adventures for kids there!
Lots of people were there:
Tim`s adventures: :)))
This shot was taken with my loaner Canon 50D at ISO 2000 1/60s f/2.8 - love how clear the shot is inspite of high ISO with this camera!
Vancouver Aquarium:
How cute is this little guy?:)
My Mom:
Never too late to have some fun! :)))
We loved it in Vancouver! Thanks once again to Gabriela for being such a fantastic hostess!!

Trip to Beautiful British Columbia - Part 1
It was 6 am and I woke up with excitement because we were leaving for Kelowna and Vancouver!! I'd never been there and I thought I even had this stupid smile and my whole face was beaming with joy! My Mom arrived in Calgary just a day before (yay!!! I haven't seen her for 2 years) and we decided to take a trip. I love travelling and love being on the road with my family, you know when you stop at different places for a quick snack or stretch or just admire the view. Those of you who have been to BC before would understand me, it's like a totally different world with trees so high you can't even see the top, with bushes so thick you you think they can embrace you, with clouds floating so low you think you can jump on it and fly.
After getting coffee in Canmore we headed off to Kicking Hourse camping ground where we built our own inukshuk (a stone figurine). Lots of fun!
Our creation!
Isn't it gorgeous here??
We stopped at Three Valley Gap where we stayed last time we went to the Enchanted Forest
and had a great time there!
Kelowna! We loved it there! Beautiful city, wonderful beaches, stunning scenery! Wow!
Wouldn't it be a perfect day to spend on the beach on this dock?
Stunning view of the lake and the mountains on the way from Kelowna to Vancouver.
After our overnight stay at Ramada Hotel in Kelowna we finally made it Vancouver and the first stop was in Stanley Park. Tim was picking shells and we were simply floored by the beauty of the park - miles and miles of 40m tall trees, bridges and ships!
Lots of flying ducks in Stanley Park. They literally fly inches within your head
Beautiful waterfall in Stanley Park, taken hand held as I didn't have my tripod with me.
Us having fun walking in the park! :)
We probably ate like 10 lb of ice cream when we were on holidays. :)) I mentioned once I wouldn't be too upset if I had to live on ice cream only and it's totally true..:) We had vanilla and chocolate and caramel with peanuts, almonds...mmmm...yum!
Sunset over the ocean. So worth travelling 950km trip for!
Part 2 will be coming soon with the story about our adventure in Capilano Bridge and Vancouver Aquarium and the most wonderful hostess Gabriela (my friend and fellow photographer Maros Hana's Mom) who we stayed with during our stay in Van City! :) She was amazing!!

Sunday.
Today we took a long walk in the Nose Creek Park, Tim took his bike (he loves it so much I'm surprised he doesn't take it into his bed!) and we also had our kite for more fun! We had to stop to fill up gas at the nearest Superstore gas stations and saw this cool old car (thankfully I had my camera with 70-200L 2.8 IS snapped on it and could grab these photos!) I mean seriously how awesome is it? Anyone can tell me what kind of car is it? The guy in the orange T-shirt is the car owner and he was flattered I was snapping the pics like crazy but I failed to ask him what car it was...doh!
View from behind. Beauty!
When we got to the park we decided to take another path. As we were walking/riding a bike we saw these 2 guys soaaring over us and shrieking. At first I thought they had a nest over there but it turned out they were just ripping apart a mouse and were afraid we'd take it away from them. I wasn't that hungry, really...hehe..:)))
This is what my life is like now...up the hill and winding.:)
Gorgeous sky!
My boy: :))) Love the excitement in the first one!

The new world...
Today I was introduced to a completely new world, it was like leaping into a parallel universe - it was so rad and so different and I LOVED IT! I'm now hooked on...riding a bike! My amazing friend Drew gave me a ride of a lifetime during lunch hour today and boy it was hard to get back to normal life after that.
Do I look happy or what? :)
Drew took this pic right before we took off. First we went down 9th and the on to Barlow and 16th because I asked him to ride where we could pick up some speed. Did I know what I was asking for? No! :) We picked up some wicked speed all right!:)) After a few rounds on exits to the 16th where Drew was entering the turns at an unreal speed we hit Deerfoot and before I knew it we were doing 210 km/hour! You know the feeling when you travel through time, well....if people were able to do that that how it would feel like! Totally unbelievable! It's like the air parts and you FLY! And see the cars left behind... What a fantastic feeling!
I just wanted to thank Drew for being a wonderful friend and taking me on this awesome ride on his beautiful Kawasaki. Just so you know, I'd do it again in a heartbeat! hehe :)) Thanks!!!
