I couldn't wait to introduce this wonderful family to you! Jill and I have known each other for almost 3 years as we took courses at SAIT. She's an amazing woman, a talented professional and a caring mom and wife. We had such a blast taking her family photos, the twin girls - Micah and Bridget - were a hoot!! Loved our session and came back with so many great photos that I had really hard time picking some for this blog post (I love this kind of difficulties though! haha)...
Isn't Jill stunning?!

Polina: Russian Beauty
Yesterday my friends Irena and I had a great opportunity to work with Polina who is not only stunningly beautiful and photogenic but also a smart cookie. :) She came to our photo session almost right after writing a 3-day exam to become a chartered accountant! How cool is that? See some of the pics and feel free to leave me some love in the form of comments. :)

16 Hours of FREE Education
I could not believe my eyes when I got this email today and I couldn't wait to share this with my friends and fellow photographers!
I think it took me about 5 seconds (maybe even 4!) to register right here as I would NOT want this opportunity to slip away from me! 16 hours of FREE tips and tricks from 16 photography gurus including Dane Sanders, the author of "Fast Track Photographer", I mean I was in awe! Can't believe they're doing it, so generous of them. When you register you will get a confirmation email with your unique phone number to dial in to join the telesummit as it's being conducted by phone. The summit is aimed at both beginner photographers and seasonal pro's because everyone can discover something new in the way they do things. It's all about being open to changes and embracing new opportunities!
If you can't listen to all of the 16 hours you have an option to purchase a downloadable mp3 recording of the whole thing so you can listen to them speak more closely and in the comfort of your own home, with a cup of hot chocolate and with a pen and paper ready..:)
To register click here. :) Oh and in case you missed it - it's FREE!! Have fun exploring the new world!

Pink Surprise
I came home from work today and guess what?? One of my flowers was blossoming!! Wow! Don't ask me what kind of flower this is, I just don't know...I have a weird relationship wish flowers really, I can't remember what they are called, I forget to water them most of the time, but I love having them in my house and the truth is - they grow, or better yet - survive! :) And even come up with some beautiful flowers once in a while. So when I came home today and saw it I had to take a couple of pictures.
As soon as Tim saw me take out my camera from the camera bag he ran to his room and got his cute little Fischer Price camera and started taking pics, too!
Another awesome story happened today, I just had to share the goodness with you. I was on the bus going home and to my great surprise (oh, another surprise of the day!) we had this awesome driver who was so enthusiastic and had this wonderful and positive attidude and was wishing every passenger a great night, adn I mean on every bus stop he'd wish everyone : "Have a great night! See you tomorrow!" and would have this big smile on his face. The funniest thing is the people were questioning why he was doing that (it was like asking "Hey why are being so nice?")...There I saw a person who truly loves his job and loves the people he's taking from one place to another every day. My heart was filled with joy just watching him interract with others. I overheard him say to one of the ladies he's been working at Calgary Transit for over 8 years and thought it was the best job ever! I mean how many bus drivers do you see every day with such attitude?!
And what brought joy to you today?
I wish I had my camera with me so I can take this wonderful guy's photo, so I'm going to post this smiling photo of Tim instead:

Robyn and Brad: Married
This is a very special couple - Robyn and Brad. They met at Fish Creek Park where Brad works as a Conservation Officer and that's where they had their beautiful and touching ceremony. Robyn has such an uplifting spirit, it's amazing! She is also a very talented fitness instructor and her joyful personality is perfect for that!. She was smiling and giggling the whole time and both her and Brad were really enjoying their day. Tricia, the main photographer, and I had 3 (three!!) hours to do photos, I mean how AWESOME was that?! We found a beautiful spot right in Fish Creek Park and then drove to downtown Calgary to take photos on the streets and in Teatro.
Happy couple right after the ceremony:
Sneaking the kiss:
How gorgeous is this bouquet?!
Love this shot!
The handsome groom:
One of many beautiful paths down in Fish Creek:
This wedding party was a riot!! Loved every minute of our shoot!
Brad and his best man (also known as his brother Chris) look great! We thought the hats were such a cool idea!
Some passionate moments....
Love this playful interraction between Robyn and Brad :)
Ok this one needs a bit of an explanation..haha...:) After the veil shots we asked Chris and Krista to come and pretend to scare Robyn and Brad but I guess our silent signs weren't really clear because they came over and grabbed them by their butts! :)))
Robyn looking stunning! The wind was sooo cooperative it was unbelievable! :)
Right before we headed off to the downtown Brad surprised Robyn with a pair of fine cowboy boots! Can you tell she's thrilled?:))
He helped her to put them on right there. The watch, by the way, was Robyn's wedding gift to Brad:
Love how they are in the moment with everyone around them.
Crazy jump after doing the crazy Austin Powers walk.:))
Tricia surprised the wedding party with a bottle of a very nice champagne so they could sit back and relax before the reception at Safari Lodge in the Calgary Zoo.
Yummy yummy cake!
How cute are those candid reactions to toasts?
Robyn and Brad, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your fantastic fun-filled day! Wishing you the best of everything in your life together!

Vintage Bride Photo Shoot
Last week I had a fantastic chance to shoot a vintage bride photo session in Nose Hills Park here in Calgary. I simply can’t get enough of this beautiful location – it has this devine untouched look with very few people walking by and the most amazing backdrop – nature! We timed our session to start at sunset and I gotta to tell you the timing was perfect! My friend Julia was our model and she did a wonderful job posing for us creating this timeless vintage look. The dress actually belongs to her mother-in-law! My friend and fellow photographer Nancy Hana was able to join us and we all had loads of fun shooting in the best light and playing with off camera flash. Can’t wait to do something like that again! Well I think it’s time for me to stop talking and let you on to some of the photos from the session:
